Think you drive okay with a Hands Free kit??

I actually deactivated the built in hands free on my last car, as I found it too distracting. Glad I did considering how many near misses I have had due to people talking on their mobiles and not paying attention!:rotfl:Ahahah got my signature removed for claiming MSE thought it was too boring :rotfl:0

TBH I dont find handsfree a distraction that much - at all times I remember that driving and making observations is paramount and tell the person on the other end to !!!!!! for a bit if I need to :rotfl:
Rarely use it anyway.0 -
I found that test a bit of a bad one. I started counting t-shirts as soon as I saw them but then it zoomed in and you had them walking across the road so I was thinking "have I counted that one already?".
Also, it said that I missed 8 questions but I'm not too sure that the game was working correctly as it was quite jumpy (might be cos I was running a backup over my network at the same time).
I can't see how that test measures anything at all. It's not like I drive along looking at t-shirt colours then try to remember what colour equals what points then adding them up!0 -
I couldn't even remember the points for different t-shirts by the time the test started, much less add them up and keep a running total. And that was before the woman started talking, so what a load of bollox.0

i got the number of shirts/points correct (im good at stuff like that) but i failed to respond to 8 questions (apparently) though im not sure how accurate it was and i missed the bunny completely!
edit: oh!!! i just watched the 'rewind' bit back, i didnt know the bunny was that bloody big!! i just read it on here that there was a bunny and thought it was a tiny thing!
anyway, i have a bit of a problem with this test... its not realistic because in real life the person on the phone would be asking something that is relevant to you and give you a chance to respond - rather than a woman droning on about random things, i dont see how the woman going on was any different to the radio playing or a real person sitting next to you... the only thing i remember her saying was about lasagne! but its my fave food so thats probably why i rememeberd
anyway, i think the shirt counting was supposed to simulate the thought process of driving, as obviously we are sitting in front of our computers so they need to do something - but driving after a while becomes semi-automatic... but counting t-thirts isnt... when im driving i dont think "clutch up, gas down, turn the wheel, gas up, clutch down, 2nd gear, turn the wheel, check the mirror" ooh, and how many trees did i drive past on the way! its not the same,
these THINK! campaigns aways use a silly example to try and prove a point... the thing is, its asking us to store info in our head as we go, but while we are driving we dont have to store info like that as we dont get asked questions when we arrive at our destination how many things we saw... so we dont notice or remember... im sure if we wernt counting t shirts we would have been the bunny.... i dont think the test makes much sense really...0 -
Just done it and I got the right amount of shirts but missed 8 questions hmmmmm I think she only asked 8 in total.... ahh well guess they were trying to prove a point.Married 1st October 2015:heartpuls

does this mean I can't talk to myself in the car anymore?0
-
What is as bad (or worse) than someone talking on a hands free set while they're driving - is when there's a car in front of you and the driver is constantly turning towards the person in the passenger seat to talk to them. When I talk to any of my passengers I don't turn to talk to them! That's just stupid.0

I don't use my phone in my car because I've got no friends.....0
