basically google analytics is free to use and can review your website for you, track visitors, which pages they click on, how many people go on to buy, average time on site etc etc it will also show you which pages are your worst performing so has the highest number of visitors switching off. if you see a trend on a certain page it would pretty much tell you it's time to review that page to see what is wrong with it, it could be something simple like a spelling mastike.
I really don't want to talk about my proper job on here other than to say we use analytics and last week we had a problem where by customers could not log in or create accounts when purchasing. we made a change to our checkout page and removed the option to log in and replaced it with an on the fly page where customers filled in their details. it meant more manual work trying to match accounts but at least we could process transactions.
the point being, when we came to analyse the pages after we made the change we saw a huge reduction in checkout exits and a noticable increase in our conversion rate (vistors who went on to complete a purchase). They weren't bad to begin with to be fair but without analytics we would have not been able to identify these changes. Analytics identified that the original page must have been a problem for our customers.
sorry if that's too techy again but have a look at google analytics if you're not using it already. it's free and could help you.Would like to: Retire at 54. 19yrs .Clear mortgage by 50. 16yrs. Thankyou all of you- Mambury you've only said what I was thinking, I've never liked my homepage but never knew how to change it for the better. Not that I can do much myself but might need a word to Dilli when she's not so busy. I honestly appreciate everything you've all done Thankyou0
