    morning all,

sorry I've not been around much, it's been a busy weekend as it was my wife's 26th birthday on Saturday. I'd already bought her her trainers but as she is losing weight so quickly (3 stone in 16 weeks), I also got her a new top & jacket from the kids and the new twilight book. We then had a big family meal at the local carvery (17 of us)
£245 was my total for the challenge but yesterday I picked up loads of items from my sil that I will be putting on classifieds at work over next couple of days. she was going to tip them and could not be bothered to free list them so I went and kindly took them off her hands.
Also up a fiver today as someone else from work was selling £20 of next vouchers for £15.
Had a quick catch up on posts but think I might have missed this weeks challenge? is it world cup related or did I mis read something?
Would like to: Retire at 54. 19yrs .Clear mortgage by 50. 16yrs. Clear Secured debts by 43. 8yrs.Clear Unsecured debt by 39. 4yrs. Gain full control of my finances by 36. 1yr.Keep my head above water. Today.

Take Yourself out of Your Comfort Zone
Challenges make you discover things about yourself that you never really knew. They're what make the instrument stretch-what make you go beyond the norm.
    Cicely Tyson (1933-) American Actress

It is very easy to get stuck in a rut or let the mundane take over, so this week lets take ourselves outside of our comfort zone. This could be doing something personal or trying something new for the £10k challenge. The important thing isn’t what you do, but that you actually do something to expand yourself.

The reward of stepping out of your comfort zone is you feel alive and full of new energy. The more you step-out, the more comfortable and competent you become and the more energized and confident you will feel.

For example: Go to a new place or environment, put yourself in a new situation, venture out to meet and interact with different people you don’t know; go to a lecture, a networking meeting, travel, volunteer, attend a class, an event, try a new sport or activity, try a new marketing technique, embrace a new technology and social media, even try a new kind of food. Anything which you wouldn't normally do!

Proust said, “The real voyage of discovery consists not in seeking new landscapes but in having new eyes.”

Our natural instinct is to not stray from our comfort zones - apparently (I have been doing some research!!) basically we are still functioning on old innate primate instincts that tell us to play it safe, stay with the herd and protect ourselves from possible danger. This was important at one time, but no longer serves us today.

In order to grow and develop you have to step outside your comfort zone into the global world we now live in.

As children we are programmed to grow and develop, but as adults we have the choice to stagnate or continue to learn. If you desire to change anything in your life; to create more joy, better health, and pursue your dreams, you have to step outside your comfort zone and continuously challenge yourself to new adventures so that you can learn and grow.

As you practice stepping out of your comfort zone you will find that you become bolder and courageous and want to try out new things. Try it in another domain; travel to an unfamiliar place, learn something you have been putting off, like ballroom dancing, or develop a new relationship with someone who takes you out of your comfort zone.
Find the Joy in Stepping out of your comfort zone
Acting on your dreams, desires, goals, and wishes will all make you move out of your comfort zone.

If you want to create the life you hope for, keep on practicing moving out of your comfort zone. Before you know it you will become captivated with the joy and feeling of accomplishment it brings to you.
A dream is your creative vision for your life in the future.

Morning all – Happy Merry Monday lol
To be honest I actually mean that – Not a bad day today although my neck hurts but that is from trying to sort post and having my phone squeezed between my neck and my shoulder at the same time.

I hope you all got a chance to enjoy some of that Sunshine too!

Jo- glad that DS is better! Seemed to have overlooked that in my speed reading : )

Nixi – that sounds super creepy re. The pictures, but Joprah’s advice is spot on. Just be careful how you go.

Baby – glad that you and DP are sorted x

Paula B – I want hobnobs for breakfast now!!! I am sooooooo hungry this morning! I like the butcher as when I do a meal plan (haven’t done one in ages though) I can get just what I need. The only thing that I don’t like about the supermarkets is either the quantity is too much or too little. Those Ragdolls by the way... NOOOO! Just NOOO they look so wrong.

Nikki – I wish you lived near me! I love minx nails and I am desperately in need of a getting my tootsies done. Must get it sorted next paycheck, not in my budget for this month... sadface

NLID – Congrats on sorting a new management system, good on you. I am the same I have password overload. But, somehow, I just about remember : ) But, then that is 16 sites versus 50.

Skint – WOW, just so glad that you are safe and well, Foff offensive weapon what were you meant to do cower in a corner and wait for death?!, ridiculous. I remember Myleene Klass got told off for doing the same, but it is the normal reaction of a parent wanting to protect their family. You are going great guns with cakes too, well done you!

Munchki – hope that you enjoyed you chilled out down time x
Toots – hope that the migraines gets better x No more for you I hope fingers crossed.

Em – there is no such thing as overindulging at a beer festival, glad that you liked it. Thought of you as I am picking up some of this for myself and my mate who has some keloid scars too. the burns are virtually invisible but it is to help the healing process http://shop.ebay.co.uk/?_from=R40&_trksid=p3907.m570.l1313&_nkw=Mederma&_sacat=See-All-Categories. Don’t stalk Mambury when she gets all blue locks... lol

Joey – great news about the journalist! Well done you x

Mambury – Sorry to hear about Rock Star the Rat, the service sounds really lovely though. On the hair ; Turquoise all over go for it!!!! Love those shoes by the way.

Elly – I love Frankie Boyle, there is something about an offensive or plain wrong joke that makes my heart sing. Lol, love the new smirkingtree tale too.

As for me, I am waiting for a special merkin consignment for Mabel, other than that just going to plug away, had some brill inspiration for invites so I am up to number 5 now in the ready made range. I want some new tattoos too!

And I am happy to say that I completed my to do list this weekend. The awesome thing is that I actually finished my to do list for a change, so I need to get back into the swing of it. Got loads done over the weekend, banned myself from watching TV, cranked up the music and got on with work and it was great. I can’t wait till I can work from home.

As for me this morning, at the day job so have my laptop with me keeping me company and I am going to get on with it all.
    Huggles to all : )

Nixi & MoneyM – thanks for the sweet comment! I do it cos I has magical powers!

Right - I have just spoken to a lovely lady at our police station and she has taken the info and will check it out......she said I had done the right thing as better to check out and find innocent than leave it and regret it. not sure what my friend will think though.......
