evening all....
don't forget free listing on ebay today!!!
Been busy today in the garden. We borrow my neighbours rotavator (SP??) to do the bottom of the garden, three hours later a lovely diggable soil!! So I started putting the paving slabs in for the paths to separate the beds and now I have two vegs beds (4 foot by 9 foot)..... problem is I have run out of paving slabs and need about 150 more :eek:... after that I should end up with about 15 beds the same size plus a fruit bed (will be in a cage!!) about 25 x 25 foot.
I got carried away and planted some manky old potatoes! Probably won't do anything but they were free so might as well try!!
Guess what I;m doing for the rest of the summer!!!
Oh and we had a little service for Rock Star the rat this morning too, the kids insisted she had a full burial with food in case she gets hungry and some flowers too..... DS made a little cross for her as well.... and DD sang her some songs through floods of tears.. it was very sad.
Mabel - love the veggie patch!! Well done on the fortress
Jo - we are prety much dairy free in this house apart from cheese... can't live without cheese! I recommend Pure Soya spread, its resaonably priced and makes fab cakes!! We tend to use soya milk, started when DD was about 1, he used to have really bad nappies if he drank milk, ate yoghurt etc so both he and I came off dairy for about 6 months.... he can stomach cooked milk (like in a sauce or custard), icecream (in small quanitities) and yoghurt (in small quantities) now but he will not drink cows milk. I prefer the taste of Soya in my tea now and DD only drinks soya too.....
Nixi - tried the duncans whotsit on twitter and I have gained about 40 followers.... probably not the demographic I need but a few look like they might be.... I was selective about who I followed.... Oh, and I did get my hair cut, long (well almost shoulder length) at the front with a fringe and short and choppy at the back.... I really like it. Now the next desicion is the colour!! My Friend in Wales has sent me some hairdye for my birthday and its Turquise!!! Do I do it all over or just a few streaks???
I hope everyone else is well....
Off to list on the ebay!!

aha!! And my whole veg patch (which also houses the 'pig shed' stone outhouse, two greenhouses and soon to be chicken run), is only about 1/4 of my whole garden! Just the lawn (which is now 1/2 the size it used to be) still takes 2 hours to cut....

thats the colour my friend sent!!! I am sorely tempted.... but I still think about what the others at school would say (living in the middle of nowhere!) but then I think f@#k em..... do it anyway..... I think this might be my giant jump Nixi!!!sealed pot challange #572!Garden fund - £0!!:D£0/£10k0 -

That's lush Mambury - go for it - blue hair's a very sexy look imo. My friend and i used to hunt down men with blue hair (in our uni days) generally unsuccessfully. Reading that back sounds a bit scary and stalkerish! It was only once i think!
I'm so envious of your garden, it sounds amazing. Do you have any pics at all? Don't worry if you don't want to share them, i just like getting ideas from other's gardens - mine's only very tiny though.Just £10,852.28p to go...
Trust that little voice in your head that says "Wouldn't it be interesting if...";
And then do it.0 -
