Hello Greenpixie! We have you now!

I admire you Jo, that is not something I could do (mind you, not a good relationship between me and my mum!) I'm quite glad that she lives over 500 miles away!

off to get some breakky and then some digging in the garden this morning me thinks... does that count towards my mini move??

    Luvs ya all.

    Morning Mambury!!

I don't have a relationship with my mom at all, so not sure if I am envious of Jo having that or relieved that it is something I will never have....but there are over 10,000 miles between us which helps lol! Enjoy your digging !!

Sorry Paula - I feel bad that I haven't sent you hugs. (((hugs)))) hope you are ok.

my mum said that she would never live with me lol in recent years she has been ill a couple of times and ended up with me .feel sorry for above sister as she goes in most days hoovers hangs out washing cleans close ect and the rest of the family are under the impression she is only there to borrow money and annoy mum so not true.however keep trying to tell the rest i'm youngest of 9 what she is actually doing.
    almost did it again jo
So finally debt free and it feels amazing however continuing here to stay debt free.Next declutter house and body and finally swim under that waterfall x

Don't have great relationship with her and at one point it was zero relationship but worse with my dad and DH parents live a huge distance away and he doesn't get on well with at least one of them.
however with her deteriorating health it feels easier to have her on tap than feeling guilty about not going to visit etc if she wasn't close.
We'll see. kids are excited anyway and I have enjoyed getting the place ready.

mambury you can count whatever you want to the mini move. intention is to try and inspire to do something you either hadn't planned or had planned but would probably put off but there are no rules hun.

Welcome GreenPixie, there are a variety of ideas on here to add income and most of us have day jobs to juggle to (not me). If you have an idea that you would like help developing, then we are good for bouncing ideas too!

Nixi - glad DS is better! Relax this weekend, you have had a busy and stressful one, just enjoy life for a bit without worrying.

Paula - I think you are being very brave, it is hard to loose someone, but even harder to sit waiting for it to happen. I remember how my Mum was when her Dads kidneys failed. Big hugs to you and I hope you enjoy the time you have left with her xx

Elly - Up your bid by £1 via cashback, then it will register.

Also, Nixi - you get 40% of EBay fees via cashback, so if you win something for £20 and the fees the seller paid were £3, you would get £1.20 cashback. Works well and adds up quickly, over the last year, I have recieved £73 from EBay alone. Helps when OH buys his bits for the boat on there too!

Munchki - hoping today is a postive day. Life is a rollercoaster of emotions, and you just have to remember, that it is better to feel the lows and enjoy the highs, than to live with no feelings at all. xxx

Mambury - soooo miffed, OH decided to take us out to eat last night, via the penny machines for DD (beach +UK = 2p machines :D) and I forgot to record Ashes to Ashes, so will have to tap into IPlayer later on. Was it good?.....actually, don't tell me!

Cagne - well done on the bike, how is payment/collection going to work?

Jo - hope D-Day went well and your Mum settles in ok.

I saved my £1 yesterday by not taking DD to the library, which would have resulted in an ice-cream and a sausage roll for all of us, instead, we made the most of the sunshine and we planted our late spuds and played in the garden (although we did nip out to the ice-cream van).

Looked into my OU course that I wanted to do last night and you can't apply for it unless you have a sponsor, frustrating as it is now Sat and I can't even start phoning round to see where/how I can get one :( Have had a read up and it looks like I need to volunteer full-time, then get them to put me forward for the course, while volunteering in order to even get considered for it. Not quite the plan I had of studying now, then when DDs are of school age, graduating and starting work. Think I may need a re-think.

Will find out if the auction is better than BIN tonight, hoping to sell them all! No bids yet, but this is just the bits that didn't sell on BIN, so I suppose, leftovers?

Oh, for all those with kids, found this on the grabbit board, maybe good for Bday/Xmas stash? https://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/discussion/2469727 debating on weather to order now, or scoot into town and see if they have them there to save on postage, and risk them not having any and the web being OOS when I get back!

Thanks for the kind welcome everyone

Didn't sleep last night, I'm a little bit of an insomniac. Managed to do about an hours worth of uni work already this morning which is good, got to try and keep myself awake now so that I don't have a nap and then will be up all night again. Thats what happened yesterday, I had a two hour nap in the day.

Going to try and write a few Dooyoo reviews and keep them saved in word so I don't look like a churner!

Hi guys I would love to join you!

I'm not aiming high for £10,000 I'd just like to try and make an extra £20 a week or something like that so I can save it as me and my boyfriend are meant to be getting a place later in the year.

I'm a student and he has a job so I'd just like to start saving now so that I have something to put towards the house, even if it is just a little. I already do all the usual questionaire websites, onepoll, valued opinions, pinecone, and i also use Dooyoo. (Am wating for a £50 cheque at the moment from them)

I haven't quite decided what I want to do to try and make some more money yet, I just have to find time around uni stuff. Its the last 2 months and its pretty busy and I have alot of work to do. Some from the beginning of the term because I suffered badly from depression. But I thought that If i found something fun I could do it in between breaks from work instead of watching TV etc.

Was thinking of making some earrings but unsure so far. I have been reading this thread for ages as an outsider, thought I'd come and say hello for once rather than just being nosy!

Hi GreenPixie-welcome to the nuthouse! There are a few of us on here that suffer from depression so we know where you're coming from-any time you want a moan or a rant just go ahead we're good at listening :-)

    morning everyone :-)

HHH-the 15 working days will be up on Friday so if it hasnt turned up by then I will put a claim in for us then.
