Whatever the result tomorrow, Cameron has to ditch Osborne FAST

Erm, so how many times did he do a political speach in the first three weeks of the election?
I thought hed purposely been kept away from the cameras!
Saw his god-awful appearance on the "chancellors " debate where he looked like a petulant teenager whos been asked to tidy his room, sulking, "chucking a mood". Regardless what the papers say there was a winner and I certainly didnt tihnk it was Osborne.
Cable OTOH, cant move for him. I read a great article with him in Psychologies magazine, we've seen him being interviewed, on tv, on radio, sound bites, on the trail EVERYWHERE.
Osborne is the weak link, "THE STUPID" haven't noticed that he is being kept out of the way with his "bad news" Well aint funny how its the little things in life that mean the most? Not where you live, the car you drive or the price tag on your clothes.
Theres no dollar sign on piece of mind
This Ive come to know...
So if you agree have a drink with me, raise your glasses for a toast :beer:0 -
I liken him to Harriet Harman.
She's hardly said a word in the labour campaign. Simply, because she always makes a fool of herself when she does, so think she's been shut up in this one.
But to be fair to Osbourne, when talking about the campaign....Vince Cable hasn't been that vocal, and neither had Darling.0 -

I agree with Darling not being too vocal.
But, Vincey baby has been all over the place... practically more famous than whatshisname... you know... that guy who leads that yellow party.“The ideas of debtor and creditor as to what constitutes a good time never coincide.”

I think party leaders like having bad chancellors - they don't like the competition!!0

I was thinking about this the other day, it HAS been a leaders campaign really hasn't it? We've not seen an awful lot of the cabinet or shadow cabinet. Osborne has been very quiet - perhaps because he is considered a weak link - and Darling bless him, those eyebrows have been strangely withdrawn from public service..as one poster mentioned, Vince Cable has been the most vociferous but I think he is weak aswell.
Its been a strange election for me, its almost as if Labour are ashamed of Brown. Cameron, apart from Ken Clarke and Oliver Letwin, is the Tories main hope and Nick Clegg? well, he tried the "we're not like the others" line a little too much and has suffered a bit of a backlash in my opinion.
I will voteTory tomorrow, and I sincerely hope they win with a decent majority so that we can get this proud country of ours back in order."If you are going through Hell, keep going" - Winston Churchill0 -
I wouldn't trust him with my piggybank !Thanks to MSE I cleared £37k of debt in five years and I was lucky enough to meet Martin to thank him personally.0

Not at all, but it does make "according to records on the Conservative website" a false claim. I don't expect Chucky to be frothing at the mouth about the lie, though...
The only person I can think who would make a worse Chancellor would be Ed Balls.
I know Ken Clarke's views on Europe make him a hate figure for the far right Tories and his is liable to the odd plain speaking / loose cannon (Ulsterman etc), but he would be better than Osbourne by a factor of 10.
Unless of course the argument is that Osbourne is so lacking in original thought that he will just do what his civil servants & BoeE tell him. If thats the case then we may be ok.US housing: it's not a bubble
