Laptop repair Belfast, any suggestions

I rang a place on the Woodstock Rd but the min quote was £45.

Anyone know anywhere else reliable and cheaper?

Cheers

Yep, let us know what's up with it to see if there's something that you can do yourself. The issue with Laptops is that they are much fiddlier to work at if it's hardware related, hence a lot of places charge just to investigate.

I used the place on the Woodstock Road and was quoted £95 to look at and repair.

Left it in and got it back two days later actually only cost £45 all in. You leave a deposit so that would be part of the £45 they quoted.

Is there any display at all? If it has an external monitor port can you connect a monitor up and see if it's just the display that's faulty?

If you have nothing of value onthe computerand you can get into f2 why do not take it back to start and totally reboot the thing.

if someone could tell me how to do that then that would be great, nothing saved on the netbook of any use.

Do you have original booklet for computer. This should tell you how to perform a complete recovery. Often hit f11 andf ollow instructions. I have done this on a laptop and a desktop when they each started playng up. Lost a few photos and software. Took me right back to factory settings.

the booklet does not say and the f11 did nothing

f2 seems to be the only active button at the minute, but i have no idea what the screens mean.
