    Thanks everyone
I feel let down and lied to
Surely the basic function of a breakdown policy with recovery is recovery ?
Unless it is a flat battery or run out of fuel they nearly always trailer you somewhere.

Am going to my local garage after work to view damage ,Been told its on all four panels front to back scratches are over 5ft in length in total :-(

    Did the carpark have cameras?

I think they are entirely at fault, particularly as it was left in a crap place, rather than nicely parked.

They lied about where it was parked and they have had a week to move it.

They should pay for it 100%.

Well the damage is bad
Keyed front to back full length of every panel on one side

I will be phoning Monday am to ask them what they intend to do about it

I don't know if the car park had any cameras ? there were none evident but to be honest I wasn't looking at that time.

Did they give you a sheet of paper detailing defects on the car the first time they towed it?

If they did you could potentially use that as a bargaining tool to prove it wasnt damaged before hand.

    Hi all

Well rescuemycar.com sent a letter basically saying were not responsible.
I have filed a claim in the small claims court, they defended saying not our fault.
I now have to fill out the allocation questionaire.

Any ideas for wording anyone ?
I really don't want them to get away with this.
Both True Delivery who finally recovered it & B&R recovery state on their websites that they offer secure, cctv covered storage for customers breakdowns.
It seems that to reduce costs rescuemycar.com chose not to use them.
    Despite their own website stating

    Q. Is your service reduced because you charge less?
    A. No. Whilst our premiums are lower, We never compromise on the high levels of safety and service offered to our members at the roadside.

Any clever people (and I know this forum is full of them) got a moment to advise on how to word this ?

    Thank you

    Bump :-(

Just had a thought I didn't report this to the police because it happened 4 hours drive from my home & I only found out possibly days after it happened.
Worried that they will wriggle out of it
