Following on from other posting, my wife showed me the latest offer on this product which is now advertised in the daily mirror at a price of £29.99 plus p&p asking for payment to be made to mgm dm1 4695. Maybe the mirror should provide proof of this elusive report?0

how on earth can something plugged into a wall socket but not connected to any device save electricity?
I bet its workings are just a couple of capacitors and a neon or led.
There sure are a lot of gullible people out there.0 -
Surely any savings are moot, and will not be actually be seen, as home electricity use is just so variable over the year?
It only takes a few more boils of the kettle, extra grass cutting, a light left on for longer etc and the bill is increased.
The only difference that would be tangible, is the £30 missing from the bank account0 -
I embarrassed for buying one.
I got it from Argos as they are trustable.
I don't know how to measure using my plug-in measurer. I'm Testing my 21" box TV 60W and the same as before I used the Thing. It did show an 8% saving during about 6 hours but 10 minutes later the same as without one. That is when it balanced itself out. After 21 hour no change like before I never had one.
No Change at the Main Meter. Summertime I use a little more electric The Fridge/freezer works harder and fans0 -
When I first found out about this product I went looking for reviews and found one from a commercial lamp company that tried this item out late March. They loved it, but stated that they were unplugging the product to see if things went back to normal. I've just emailed them as they haven't updated their findings.
I can tell straight away that most of those on this forum know a lot more about electrics than I ever will, so I have to ask if you guys know if this item also works on ones lights (a number of the posts have mentioned them)? I can't see how it can if its plugged into the ring mains for your sockets, and everyone seems to agree that it is all down to the appliances in your house. Any thoughts here?:question:0 -
Complete and utter waste of money.

What does the fridge/freezer fan?0 -
These things claim to work by altering the power factor.
As the power factor rating of the load that your house presents to the supply will vary from minute to minute depending what appliances are actually running, a fixed device such as this, is therefore just as likely to "correct" in the wrong direction !!!
