domain name expires - how long before i can re buy?

hi there

i have a basic website and email with mr site on their standard package , their renewal on this package is 36 pound per year i asked to downgrade to beginner at 19.99 , more suited to my website, the said the do not allow this.

i see i can buy the beginner package from play.com at 9.99., so if i do not renew how many days after will the domain name be available to buy again? , many thanks

if its .co.uk domain name about 90 days. your better off transferring it to a new host before it expires otherwise someone else might purchase it.

Find a host you like then ask them to transfer your current domain name to them, transferring it will also extend the name for another year/2 years.

Make sure you don't say what it is, otherwise someone will buy it and hold you to ransom!

UK domain transfers do not automatically renew because they can't be renewed at anytime only when due.

Other names .com etc do extend registration period when transferring
