Business Contracts v Personal contrcts

Hi There,

I'm looking into mobile phnoes for our UK offices probably no more than 10 phones and I was wondering do i HAVE to take out business contracts. The tarriffs are poor in comparison to personal ones and I would be much better off with individual contracts it seems. I wuold be able to tailor phone packages better for heavy and light users and it would save our company a good bit of money.

I'm just a bit concerned that I'm missing something and I must get business contracts. Would I have to take out individual insurance on phones? is this one thing thats covered in a business contract that isnt in a personal one?

Basically I just want to know the pros and cons of each.

Any advice greatly appreciated.

You are going to be limited to 2 contracts as a personal customer for any network.
As a business you can ask for extra lines.
Don't know about insurance but likely advantage of business is one contract between your company and network with multiple phones and lines on same contract, with vat being redeemable as business expense (if you are registered).
Best thing to do would be to talk to likes of vodafone, orange to work out what they might offer to a business (discounts, mins, texts, phones).

I ran over 100 mobile contracts concurrently for my company. Even with 10, you will get a better deal if you go through a 3rd party business "consultant" who can beat the network rates.

PM me if you want to know more about this route.

Thanks for the advice guys....I'll probably do both of those and compare the deals I get to see which suits. I was sorely tempted to get 10 iphones from Tesco as they said the would bill to a business. £450 for the unlimited tarrifs is cheaper than we are paying now. However we have a lot of world travellers and I need something that lets us use data abroad and not run up a huge bill. There is no bolt on with Tesco mobile for this so it stops me going for them :S

I'll weigh up all the options though.
