    Also to point out that whilst 'break' above is wrong, 'tire' is just using that slightly different language of 'US English'.

    Like many American English spellings, tire is actually the original spelling. IIRC tyre was introduced into British English when pneumatic tyres were introduced to differentiate them from the steel or iron tires then in common use.

    Did anyone else read 'spelling' as 'sleeping'? Same number of letters and bears more resemblance.
