Alternatives to eBay - please help

Standing on a street corner with a suitcase is free, unless you need a council permit, check with your council first. Unfortunately most sales avenues cost money, Ebay is pretty reasonable for its customer base and reach. Amazon fees are considerably higher and don't cover the same range of areas. Ebid has less than 10% of the buyers on Ebay.
Sure Eby isn't for everybody, but because one person can't make money on it doesn't mean its a rip-off..0 -
Well you could always try your local general auction house or if it's a more specialist item you could ask one of the bigger London auctioneers, but the sellers and buyers premiums plus entry fees will be nearly the same as or more than EBay anyway. And as someone else said you will be hard pressed to find any other venue that can put your items in front of so many potential buyers (I think I read that Ebay has 9million plus members).
I don't work for them but am a satisfied business seller of collectibles / prints so you might think I'm slightly biased.0
