Unfortunaetely, the store wont be interested as this was a contract between you and the fitter, not you and the store. They may also refuse to give you his details due to 'Data Protection'.

NearlyRich (#5 above) suggests the fitter will have insurance. He probably does but that is for negligence eg where he puts a nail through a water pipe. It certainly wont cover bad workmanship and crass stupidity on the fitters part.

I think the best you can hope for is your £30 back and invest it in 3 draft excluders

If you didn't get a recipt and it was a cash job, you've got no chance of a refund. As the post above suggests buy 3 draught excluders

Maybe 6 if they look bad from both sides. £30 should cover it.

the guy came around today, and despite useing every excuse about walls, floors, doors not being level, I didnt budge and kept asking for new doors.
He's told me to get a quote and send it on to him and we'll take it from there.

any ideas how much 3 doors and fitting would be?

Hi glad he is semi co operating..not sure on prices though as depends on doors you want etc! We had the same prob when we moved in..long story as to why we got ours done in a rush but our friend did them and cut way too much off our lounge and bedroom..bugs me when i notice them but tbh wont be something i rush out to change as they are open most of the time so dont notice it.

    Good luck x
