Hi gingerfingers,
Omg I think I will give them a call tomorow.

Lynda, ignore gingerfingers, they are a troll who keeps getting banned and then coming back with a new name!
You would normally hear the result of your medical within a month, though this will vary by area. If it is close to a month I would give the JCP a call. Rest assured, you should hear much sooner than 28 weeks!Gone ... or have I?0 -
Ring up the benefits people and ask them to send a copy of your medical report, that is normally sent out fairly quickly, and will give you a good idea if you passed or failed or not...[greenhighlight]but it matters when the most senior politician in the land is happy to use language and examples that are simply not true.

The impact of this is to stigmatise people on benefits,
and we should be deeply worried about that[/redtitle](house of lords debate, talking about Cameron)0 -

Hi everyone,
A wee update for you all.
Got the letter this morning. So it took exactly 4 weeks. I have been placed in the Work Related Activity Group. (what does this mean please). My hubby also received a letter this morning to say he is getting carers allowance for looking after me. We have a 7 years old son my friend said we would be able to claim IS is this right or has this stopped now.
Thank you

You can't claim ESA & IS at the same time.

Hi everyone.
Another update.
Got a letter on Saturday from ESA (ESA72 10/08) telling me all about what will happen. My case will come up for review on 09/10/10. It also said I would be notified of the new rate of ESA in a separate letter. I have already got this letter I got it on 07/05/10. Should I still ask for a copy of the medical report.
I have had so many letters from DWP in the last couple of weeks and I think all the letters have been sent out in the wrong order.
I also got a letter the same day saying my ESA will be paid every 2 weeks into my bank account. In this letter it had the name of my Bank the address of my bank and my full bank account number written on it. I will be calling them on Monday about this. As you can imagine am I not to pleased about this as anyone could have opened this letter by mistake. We have different post people delivering our mail every day and it it not the first time I have had a letter delivered to my address that was meant for one of my neighbours. For example I stay at number 25 and had a letter put through my door for number 2. Luckily I noticed this letter was not for me before I opened it.
Any way
thank you so far

I would, as they sometimes lose them...
It may come in handy in the future if you are denied benefits, and your condition is worse or unchanged, as you can refer back to the previous medical in a tribunal/with welfare rights.
It is also useful to read what they got right, or wrong as the case may be.[greenhighlight]but it matters when the most senior politician in the land is happy to use language and examples that are simply not true.
