    Hi JPS,

    We are obliged to provide accurate bills, therefore when errors in billing are recognised they require amending both going forward and going back in time.

    Unfortunately this can come as a shock and I understand that it can often be difficult to then pay for the energy you’ve used.

    As a result we wouldn’t expect the bill to be settled immediately if you’d find it difficult, so we will be more than happy to discuss a suitable payment arrangement with you if it will help.

    Nah I have the money to pay and I have just paid it, that isn't the problem. The problem is when you move out of a property and then 4 months later you get a bill for your old place out of the blue - if an account is settled and closed then E.on or any supplier should not be allowed to then go and bill someone, these things should be checked before a final amount is agreed. Very poor really.

    I can only imagine what it would be like for someone who really didn't have the money to pay it...
