That's right - why work for your money when you can just sit on your !!!! and keep taking off the taxpayer then?
I wanted useful advice which I got. Your advice is even more useful, thank you so much - sitting on my !!!! is exactly what I plan to do. Please keep on working as hard as you can as I need the money you pay as tax.0 -
Are you actually looking for a job? If this was me, I would take the job. It';s much better than signing on.
Yes of course I am looking for a job. This temporary job offer didn't fall off Santa's sleigh, but rather the one and only offer I have had in the 200+ jobs I have applied for over the past two months. I had fully expected to have been offered a job by now and was intending to work these five hours as an extra.
I previously had a contract for 12 hours per week for two months, and as per the rules continued to sign even though I got no JSA during that time. Once my work contract ended I had to wait six weeks before the benefits people caught up on their paperwork - they admitted they had a backlog and that was the only reason my JSA payments weren't resumed when my contract ended. In the meantime I had no income at all as my job search was fruitless.
There are lots of genuinely helpful people in this part of the forums and I thank them for their advice and help. However there are a few to$$ers around who have either made sweeping judgements about me or looked down their noses at me. I won't be coming back here for any more advice.0
