Orange Wednesday -- Two for one films
Just picked up a cheap Orange handset (via the grabbit forum) and was wondering if anyone can clarify the terms on the film offer.
Orange term reads "Text tickets are subject to availability. Text tickets are issued on a priority basis to either active Orange mobile customers who spend over £5 per month with Orange"
As I have just got my handset and put a £10 top up on i was wondering for clarification on the following:-
1. Do you have to spend £5 each month every month or spend £5 in a month to get the offer the following month?
2. By "spend" do they mean actually spend the money making calls or put £5 top-up on the phone?
3. How strictly is this applied because TBH the handset was purchased as an emergency phone?
Thanks in advance for answers

The only things you HAVE to have done are:
1) be on orange pay as you go
2) have 45p or more in your account (10p to send the text to 241, and 35p to recieve the code)
3) have used your phone in the last 6 months (so you haven't been cut off)
I work in an Orange shop and have never seen anyone get "prioritised" for a code.
You should be fine.0 -

That'll do for me tommy!!!! OH is going away with her inlaws in summer and the cinema nearby does 2 for 1. She is thinking of a day out with our daughter but we have just got the phone for emergency use at the caravan. Just didnt want to have to keep adding credit just to get a ticket!0 -
I'm not an Orange customer, but can anyone tell me if the 2 for 1 offer apples to 3D films?
According to my GF, when her and friend tried to go see a 3D film at our local Cineworld, they were told they had to pay a surcharge because 3D films are more expensive. It was still cheaper, but not 2 for 1.0 -
AFAIK, whatever the film is then you get the TICKETS on 2 for 1. If you have to pay extra for glasses etc then you don't get them on 2 for 1.
I'm sure there are ways cinemas are getting round it though...
(I can imagine - ticket price £5. 3d 'experience charge' £2. 3d glasses £1. etc etc)Excuse any mis-spelt replies, there's probably a cat sat on the keyboard0 -

Being pedantic - the text or call to 241 is free or so the voice on 241 says so you only need 35p in the account! :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:0 -

Interesting to read the comments on 3d films. As far as Oranges own T&C are concerned, their sites says that Orange Wednesday text codes are NOT valid for 3d films0
