    hi steph,

i think the problem with this post was its title - "how can we cut back?"

you then proceeded to post all your monthly outgoings - therefore this looks like you are wanting people to advise on how to "cut back" on these outgoings hence the replies of get rid of phone, car, tv.... etc

when people inevitably stated these things, you continually posted that you could not reduce any of them - i then found myself wondering what the point of the thread was??? e.g. I spend £1400 a month, i cannot reduce it....how can i reduce it?" that doesnt make sence.

if the post had been titled - "how can i earn more money" or something similar you would have had replies to what you were looking for.

That aside, i also think many of the posts were way too harsh and unnecessary.

I see now you have answers to the question you were really looking for...ie making some more money, so good luck with that and hope all goes well with the new baby.

    regards

    hev xx

    Hi

I have read this and can see both sides of the "argument" - I think that we are all guilty of making a few stupid decisions - well not stupid at the time, but in hindsight are - but we live and learn and can only go forward with past experiences (both good and bad)

However, as a little thing.....when the babe is born - have you considered using reuseable nappies?

I know that they are maybe not to everyone's taste and there is an initial bigger outlay, but in the long run they would turn out cheaper. Also as inserts for the nappies, J cloths or something similar can be used - they can be cut in half and then washed......doesn't sound appealing I know - but it's an idea - my friend in Oz did this as she lives in the Bush and obviously can't pop to a corner shop if she runs out!

    Good luck with everything
