Edinburgh Festival Accommodation

  • Hi

I just want to back up what the OP is saying.

The last couple of years we paid £1000 between 4 of us in premium locations in Edinburgh for the full duration of the festival so it is possible - we've had to look elsewhere each year because both properties haven't be available (to anyone not because they where booked up early).

We're in a similar position this year as the OP, looking at paying twice that amount so far.

Only suggestion is as others have said- scottish yha let student halls which are much more reasonable and very central, tho might be difficult to book for the whole run. have stayed there before and was perfect for us.
  • Hard work and persistence paid off and have found a place for £100 a week just behind the Meadows.
  • If you are still looking for good value accommodation for the festivals you might try EdinburghFestivalRooms.com - you can book rooms with Edinburgh residents that have spare rooms available during the festival period. These can be much better value than Hotels or hostel accommodation and you get a locals view of what's going on in the city.
