Hello Memory Girl, I've just read through your diary and wanted to say that it and you are amazing
I love the sound of the "Interchangeable Blondes" book, perhaps I could proof-read it for you?
Hope you feel better soon michelle - I prescribe a hot toddy for your coldCurrently studying for a Diploma - wish me luck

Thanks for the tips. I'll get a carrot out the garden to try the sandwich idea. I personally like the garlic, and he normally loves garlic bread so i think he was just being mardy as 3 yo's can be. DS2 usually refuses too if DS1 does as he wants to do everything like big bruv does.Current dislike is when i make hot food and he has to wait for it to cool. How on earth i can make cold cooked food i don't know.
The cold is from the ILs. My FIL had a stonker when we visited last weekend, and DS1 has passed it to me as they do. I would love a hot toddy but we've only got Rose wine or lager. Although as a science teacher, i can vouch for the fact that alcohol kills germs and i might indulge in a glass purely for medicinal purposes.
Your room sounds like it is coming along nicely Memory girl. Well done on a productive day.0 -
Michelle - your kids sound like - well kids really!!! One of mine has the "the juice tastes better out of the pink mug not the green one" thing:rotfl: It's the same chapie sugar free squash - honest!!!!
Still they are better entertainment value than the TV Licence.
Littlie has decided to sing "Twinkle Twinkle all the way to the dancing school and back - so I though, "Sod it!! If you can't beat em join em". But we did get some funny looks though - I expect Child Protection around any day now - :rotfl:. Cruelty to kids by singing out of tune at the top of your voice:D
Now you've mentionned a toddy Smlsave - I've investigated the "drinks cabinet - don't you know?? - LOL" OK the cupboard behind the TV that the kids can't get to.
Nothing much on the cocktails front - but wait, whats that?. A bottle of whisky and a dribble left in a bottle of drambuie. Result!!! Rusty Nail as soon as the kids are in bed :j
On ein the shower - one waiting for tea. Better boogie off and do some Mummy Stuff.

I think your little one is similar age to mine if i remember correctly from your 1st diary. Mine was 2 last week.
We were at a wedding last weekend in a registery office and thought we could shut little one up by feeding him sweeties. Something along the lines of if his mouth is full it will keep him occupied. Only they were shaped like stars, and he was singing Twinkle Twinkle during the service. One of those moments when you know everyone is looking at you.
Drambuie. Not had any of that in a long time. Enjoy.0 -
Just a quickie as I am going in to the school to clean the portacabin and set it up for some Teacher Training starting on Monday - then the kids go swimming in the afternoon and I am supervising that. Got my Tom Yum noodles in my bag though - LOL
Got hold of a local MSP - who is going to come and visit the school - good lad, hope he brings the press with him
Also got in touch with one of the guys who organises the local Agricultural Show which is benig held a week on Sat. He is going to let us put up posters at the entrance point of the show saying that we are looking for land/ property for school to move to. Yipee!!! Lots of farmers and local people attend so hopefully someone will know someone who's got something IYSWIM:j
Goodness me I can get creative when things get crazy.
Fill you all in later - I'm hoping for a NSD, but tomorrow I'm going to have to go out hunting milk, yogurts and fruit n veg.
Frugle Days peeps

Well caved in at the swimming pool - went to the cafe to buy an ice-cold can of diet coke. Yum!!!!!!!!
Felt guilty about it afterwards - after all 60p is nearly 2 tins of tomatoes which is 2 dinners for all of us with some pasta n bits.
But the Gods must have been smiling because I found a pound in the carpark - so I make it that I am 40p upon the day - will I count it in my signature????????? Does that mean I can count today as a NSD??
It is now about 18 hours before my first house guest arrives and the place is still looking like a tip. I now have run out of time to make excuses and need to knuckle down and get the place straightened out.
So far I have:
Washed the lunch dishes
Hung up the washing from the machine
Hoovered the guest room
Cleaned the hob
Cleaned the bathroom
What I still need to do is:
Clean all the mirrors
Scrub the kitchen floor
Hoover the small guest room
Do the weekend wash
Gut the livingroom
Make a shopping list for next week
Get petrol otherwise no airport run for me
And then I might even have a look at making myself presentable.
Ready, set, go
Back in 15 minutes
