i think the best bit of trivia about Norman Wisdom was that his films were the only Western films allowed to be shown in Albania!

mg - I am going to mind-map the book I am currently writing, if I could please ask - would you recommend the mind map being done with a branch for each chapter or a mind map with a branch for characters, themes, plots etc. or perhaps 2 mind maps :o. Any advice is much appreciated :D

    Night everyone x

Erm both :D or either:rotfl::rotfl: I know not very helpfull.

First "start with the end in mind" - so what do you want to achieve frm the Mindmap?

Do you want to MM the book so that you remember it - or are you studying it to create another piece of work (like an essay answer or something?)

If its the first -use the structure of your book

    Title - central image
Sections (if text book) - main branches
Chapters - main or sub branches
    Sections - smaller branches
    Info - the details

But for say an essay answer where you need to explore "Explore the roles of class, education and colour in the courtoom scenes of "To Kill a Mockingbird" - you are probably going to use the main branches of

Setting - to get historical context
Characters - to specify your examples
    Class
    Education
    Colour
Conculsions - to draw you argument together

    Does that make sense hon?

Well done! It was about time, young lady.

So there! Whoever bet just won.

On a more serious note - good work but balance is the mastery. You need at least some foxes around you to watch your back.

I am very pleased about the Nobel as well - you know that the Research Councils refused him and his collaborator research funding to work on human fertility (in 1971)? This actually support the hedghog doesn't it? Everyone in the science establishment said - 'not worth it' and than - a big, fat, top prize.

Also if his research was not a success I won't have Little Boy, would I?

Tired and slightly drunk I am - so off to rest.

I know - he's always had his detractors, but fundamentally his thing is smply "I want to help people make families". He's actually quite an honurable man in a very difficult moral sphere - but good on him for keeping going.

Theres a photo of me waltzing with him at some black tie do - cos there is quite a difference in size he looks like he is dancing with a pair of ear-muffs on :rotfl::rotfl:

................. and Little Boy was my first thugh when I heard:j

    Hi All,

Well, have listed several items on e-bay and am hopeful for some good bids this week. I have continued de-cluttering - not only as part of the e-bay listing but also in letting go of some things that I accept are no longer so important in my life. This has had the welcome affect of making me feel a little 'lighter' - will feel loads better when all cupboards and spaces have been emptied and evaluated before essentials being returned. I am also sorting out paperwork just to make sure I am only storing the important stuff.

    Good morning :)

Lovely and peaceful here, no tv no music on phones no xbox shooting bliss, the only noise is the dishwasher :)

slept quite well considering the earache from hell last night, still a bit sore today and i've got a bit of a muggy head, I really hope i'm not coming down with anything :( Haven't got time to be ill lol, I have hundreds of earrings to make  lol :rotfl:

Hopefully i'll have some lovely beads today, so i can crack on and get the earring orders up to date and a few more extra made, so I can just pack and send :) want some made for the farmers market on Sat too.

    Hello All,

Didn't wish to post until I had read the thread fully. Finsihed last night:j So I'm now here to offer any help or support I can provide.
You have all made me so positive over the last couple of weeks, particulary during some changes at work. I have remained positive, which I hope has "rubbed off" on colleagues too. I also asked the Universe for something which has appeared in a temporary capacity and is fine by me, so onwards and upwards as the saying goes.

MG I have borrowed a few ideas including doing tasks in 15 minutes, it really works. I tend to flit from one thing to another, even doing the cleaning, as I quickly loose concentration/interest but I have found I can cope with 15 mins and even the OH has noticed:rotfl: He does wish I could sit still for the 15 miins too!

Earthgirl, I too am a teacher but also do a lot of private tutoring! I tried to set up a network a few years ago and started to build the website but career progress got in the way. If you want my thoughts on how I thought this could work, then drop me a PM.

To all others, I am looking forward to being able to offer the positivity back that you have provided over the last couple of weeks and MG can I be part of your matrix. I will PM you.

    Regards

    Sx
