    :eek::eek::eek:

    Usually when I logon here I automatically get sent straight to the first page of my diary and then click to the last page.

    Well I am setting up the new laptop so actually came from the front page of the site to click through DFW and DFD to find the first page again of the thread.

    .................................:eek::eek::eek: OMG :eek::eek::eek:

    Have you seen how many views this thread has had???

    Here we have been merrily bumbling along, chating about earings, books, businesses, dreams and avoiding ironing (or was that Hypnos thread???????) - and hunners and hunners of people have been clicking through!!!!

    Think I got a bit of stagefright - only I know as a "Professional Speaker" (Yes I am no longer a SAHM cos I have an actual real life booking in the diary again) - you would pull my leg without mercy:D

    MG I had a friend also did that (build tented off area) in order to cope with renovations,

    Firewalker, if 15mins doesn't cut it put the timer on for another 15mins, I found this works fine, the buzzer whether 15 mins or an hour is enough of a reminder not to get lost, that there are other things to do - IMHO, yuk about the aspergers, but try to keep thinking about the long term goal/picture, I sometime think Aspergers is a bit like Anxiety (experience held here..) you need to go out of that comfort zone at times in order to get a bit better

    What a day eh!.. hope all is well and you're enjoying your wine Claire, I had a (another) strange revelation today.. due to ironing boredom talk I was reading:

    confession time: I used to get someone in to do my ironing, I've "never ironed" well occasionally if I had to (actually I inherited my "lady" and as she was like a member of the family, we couldn't bear for her not to come here every week!).. after she passed I left my ironing to build up (didn't see the bottom of my basket for about 2 years) and moaned about how, 'I don't iron' and how on earth was it more profitable for me to be ironing than it was to work.. I couldn't possibly have the luxury of standing for 2 hours ironing when I could be doing £50 an hour work instead.. anyhow that was then this is now.. now I realise it's within my power to SHARE talents once again, when the day comes again that I am again able to budget for extras I will *for the first time* make a conscious decision to network and get someone to HELP me iron while I HELP them with coffee/cake/company for one hour and work the other hour elsewhere - as in I won't think of it a necessity, rather it will be a life choice (unless of course for some weird reason I develop a love of ironing meantime :p).. does that make sense even.. it does in my brain anyway LOL!!

    Happy Weekend All!

    MG, now that you are over 4000 posts, you will need to start sorting out a new thread as this one will be closed as it gets too big.

    Might be an appropriate time to do it now as you embark on success of ginormous proportions :D

    Thanks, that is some good advice there. Think I shall devise a feedback questionnaire and ask them to tell me if they think I am terrifying and why they think I am terrifying!!

    I must say, part of me is thinking I should send an email to them all telling them to get over it. If they want to be terrified... well stand back ....! :mad: But then my sensible side takes over and I figure, until I have my letters after my name and my business off the ground, I might as well try and work out how to be less scary. :cool:

    People are odd aren't they?!

    People are very odd :( I have also been called scary many times in the past but not so much in the last few years. I think if you are good at what you do, don't suffer fools gladly and just want the info/answer from them so that you can get on with the next piece of the jigsaw or task and don't put hearts and flowers in to your speech you are seen as scary!

    OK, that was an easy one for me - my most recent tipping point was when OH left me earlier in the year, with the knowledge that keeping the roof over our heads lays with me and no one else.

    Certainly focused the mind, hurtful, draining, anger inducing, but with this amazing effect of "I can do this" attached.

    8 months on, another £15000 off the debt, and yes, I bloody well can do this :D

    Been lurking on your recent thread, I really think you are amazing Hypno :T You have had a huge knock back this year and have picked yourself up, dusted yourself off and I am in awe of everything you achieve :D

    Hypno, don't do yourself down. You give out help and advise in spades too.

    ..... and you are obviously a very important member of the MSE community as you are among the top number of posters and read by a very senior member of the community :money: not mentioning any names :D

    Told you I had been lurking on your thread :rotfl:

    Thanks Fantacee. I just would like to clarify that I actually don't have Aspergers - I am just a high scorer. Particualrly on obsessions, particularly related to gaining and producing knowledge of different kinds. One of the side effects is that I, probably more than others, like to be able to find things.

  • Ha Ha FW that made me laugh, Just about to go to bed after catching up but had to say that I really can't stand not being able to find my things when I know they are here somewhere! That really turns me into a scary person!!

    Have a good weekend all!
