Nope. I was actually invited to sing at the prayer vigil in London. I told them I had other plans because it is my birthday! I don't agree that this is a state visit. It should only be a pastoral visit. Plus... I don't do so well with crowds!! :)

I am even avoiding the TV coverage at the moment. I saw the Mass in Glasgow yesterday and what I mainly thought was "I am very glad I am not cantoring at THAT Mass!!" :rotfl:

Right off to have a shower and get ready to go to Derbyshire to see the "country cottage"...Or Chatsworth House - you know, the Palace of the Peaks! LOL! :rotfl:

  • GOOD MORNING ALL!!!

I dont usually write in caps but I had to emphasise this time that this is a good morning!

I have been granted a well earned flexi day due to the ridiculous amount of travelling I have had to do over the past two weeks. Flippin job. Flippin ...... trying to think of a word to explain how I feel without the need for negativity! Impossible!!

Anyway, I have a to do list as long as my arm and its growing but I love it. This is my idea of a good day (I dunno about perfect) but when I do get to do my challenge listing my week a full day of pottering will definitely be part of it. I think its the satisfaction of achieving something during the day that makes my home life a lot easier. Whereas work I always feel that I am not good enough and I never get to achieve anything when I have my to do list to work through but silly irrelevant telephone calls and emails have to take priority! Phew - that's it no 'work talk' cos I am not there!!

Hi MG I received my book this week and will start to be an avid student this weekend. Thanks for sending it (thanks Mr Big for having to 'take a break' to allow MG to package the book sooooo quickly!)

Just a thought, does anyone else think of Mr Byrne (Burn) from the Simpsons whenever MG talks about Mr (Gabriel) Byrne?!!! I do a have a little chuckle to myself whenever I read it!!

I am in a weird place at the moment health wise but I am working on it to ensure I get myself back on the straight and narrow with putting myself right. So my challenges are a bit behind and I can't promise, but I am sure that this weekend I will get a bit more done!

I have already put one wash out, my next wash is spinning and the following wash will be started in about 5 minutes, the dishwasher is just ready to be started and the kitchen is spotless (well apart from floor which just needs a bit of a brush but that's pointless cos I am stripping the wallpaper from the passage and it will be trailed right through so I am letting myself off with the kitchen floor task!) The bleach is down the sink and I am ready for my 30 minute per task morning:

    30 mins wallpaper stripping
    30 mins ebay packaging
30 mins packing the car with stuff for the tip
    30 mins pottering!

Right people, I will see you all later (well you know what I mean)

Have a great day and today I will continue Ask, Believe and Receive!

Lets hope at the end of today we all have something to report on that we are happy with.

Morning all. Sitting at home in my dressing gown with a great big grin on my face. Haven't read the latest challenge yet, but going off there after here. I am intrigued...! :)

Its my birthday today, and hubby has been fab with his pressies. :D Really, really fab! :D My craft room now has a CD player (so I can rehearse my Bach Magnificat whilst embroidering and quilting :)), I have my own hymnal (the ones we have at Church are knackered and usually taken by others! Woo hoo.. I can sing the hymns with music in front of me!! :) ) and he bought me the most fabulous encyclopeadia (sorry, spelt wrong) of plants! I am a very happy Crickett! Soon to go into the shower and get dressed for a day out in Derbyshire and tromping around Chatsworth.

Happy Birthday Crickett! Let your days be filled with what your heart desires and what makes your soul sing.

And for what it is worth, I think you should finish this qualification. Letters behind or infront of names give you an edge - they save you having to work hard to establish your technical competence because people already assume you have it. So you can focus on the things that matter.

Also......had a thought about your mindmapping, getting "out there" etc. Are you on youtube? Can you do some mindmapping demos on there that last just a few mins?

absolutely - but it will have to wait until the broadband is set up - cos it takes me about 99 days to upload video at the moment :p
