Are room dimensions on Right Move important?

I know it's a bit of a random question but I have found when I've been browsing at houses to buy I immediately look at how large the bedrooms are. I find myself getting annoyed if the house I like the look at doesn't have dimensions on as I have no idea whether they're suitable or not.
The reason I'm asking is that our house is for sale and our estate agent doesn't list the dimensions of rooms which I find is not good seeing as our rooms are large so it may encourage people to look round.
I was considering asking the EA why they don't have room dimensions and whether they would put them up for us seeing as they have the measurements on file anyway. Do you think it would be worthwhile?

You’re paying the agent and they should be working for you. You have every right to ask for what you think is reasonable.
It’s hard to see why they’d measure up and then put it all away in a drawer.
To sell your house against the opposition you certainly want to stress the positives like good room sizes.0 -
They're important to me!
To be honest when I'm looking at Rightmove I don't really care about the internal photographs I just want to see a floorplan and the room dimensions. If something was in the right place and the right layout I'd probably ring the agent and ask for dimensions, I've not had to do this yet though.
I'd definitely ask the agent to put them up.0 -
Yes size IS important. And in metres and feet too ....
And a layout plan.0 -
Very important to me, as is the floor plan.0

If I didn't see the dimensions there I'd assume that they'd been left out for a reason and assume that the reason was a bad one! I've never seen a floorplan on Rightmove without dimensions, I've seen properties there with no floorplans but once the plan is there - they've always had dimensions0

Out of the hundreds of houses we viewed on Rightmove before deciding to view for real, if any were missing room dimensions we instantly dismissed them. We needed to know that room sizes were good as we have large furniture that was too costly to replace so needed to fit in the new house.
No room dimensions, no chance of a viewing from us.
Get your EA to put them on in metric and imperial (just metric annoyed me too as my mind works in imperial and I couldnt get a feel for the size if it was just in metres)0 -
Size is crucial. When we were looking at houses, it was hard to envisage how big/small rooms were without dimensions. In fact, we were even comparing properties that we were considering viewing by their internal measurements - and also the Google Earth view!Sealed Pot Challenge #021 #8 975.71 #9 £881.44 #10 £961.13 #11 £782.13 #12 £741.83 #13 £2135.22 #14 £895.53 #15 £1240.40 #16 £1805.87 #17 £1820.01 declared0

Agree with the consensus - size is very important to me, if I see a house on RM that I like the look of but there's no sizes/dims, I will call the agent to find these out before I even consider booking a viewing for it.

To us it was the first thing we looked for....get them done asap..It is nice to see the value of your house going up'' Why ?
Unless you are planning to sell up and not live anywhere, I can;t see the advantage.
If you are planning to upsize the new house will cost more.
If you are planning to downsize your new house will cost more than it should
If you are trying to buy your first house its almost impossible.0 -
Supremely important. Among the first things I'd look for.0
