Hi there, have recently bought a new tv which has freeview. I bought a loft aerial and connected it. Picture is perfect, but i dont get any channels between 40-70. My son has a freeview box in his room which is just connected to a set top aerial, and booster and he gets more channels than i do. Any suggestions?

GET A ROOFTOP AREAL xD0

Cant justify spending so much on a rooftop aerial just for a few extra channels. I live in a 3 storey house and so wouldnt be able to install one myself0

Have you tryed upgrading the software on the freeveiw cbox or scanning for all channls0

If you could power a booster actually in the loft then it would be worth doing as it would counteract coax losses. Putting one at the set end would be much less effective. Some are designed as masthead units and can be powered up the coax but they are not so common these days.0

Which transmitter? If you don't know, enter your details here and post the information. The main transmitter in the West Midlands uses channels above 40 e.g. the lowest used is 41. Blue text on this forum usually signifies hyperlinks, so click on them!..:wall:0 -

Well you first post makes no sense then if your aerial is pointing at Sutton Coldfield as the channels used are 41, 44, 47, 51, 52, 55.
The site will tell you what compass bearing your aerial should be pointing and what type of aerial is suggested for your particular location. Blue text on this forum usually signifies hyperlinks, so click on them!..:wall:0
