i am presently with talk-talk atm, and cant wait till my contract ends in another couple of months, i rang sky to ask about transferring to them for broadband/phone some time back and was told, i would have to get a bt line installed first.
however, thankyou to the op on another thread regarding problems with my mums sky installation, a nice fella rang me back about her issue, then asked if there was anything sky could improve on.
i told him of the issue of transferring from talk-talk.
he rang me back to say that, sky could setup broadband/phone more or less seamlessly, and a technician etc would not even have to call.
only thing was he could not 100% say i could keep my number, but he really didnt think that this would happen.

He may have been a nice guy, but he obviously does not understand that your line is unbundled (LLU), as you are with Talk Talk.
This being the case it is not easy to switch. You will first have to go back to BT, where you will be tied into a 12 month contract.
Please see the Home Phones subforum.RIP independent MSE.

You do not have to go back to BT. I went direct from Talk Talk to Sky a year ago with their line, BB and TV.0
