    Screw Amex anyway! :p

But yeah fair enough, £120 a year probably isn't worth the hassle (although thinking about it, allowing for petrol and if I could get cash withdrawals it'd be a lot higher than that) but now I'm not even sure if I can be bothered with the hassle of a credit card. Meh. Keep just going around in circles! :/ Soz

Lol your right mate there are some bloody good cards out there far better than amex anyway, ive got wait until october to apply for anywhere else thinking about closing my flybe down by then as the 6 months 0% will run out..check yourself the yorkshire bank credit card mate, 16 months interest free or 14 one or the 2

Forget about hassle, there is no hassle. You need to take a few steps back and stop chasing pots of gold until you understand how they actually work.

Your comment that I've highlighted in nice friendly bold red letters is a recipe for disaster.

If you don't know why, then stick around and keep reading other posts until it falls into place.

Recipe for disaster in what way?

On an interesting note, my Amex application actually got approved! But after speaking around I'm not sure I'm going to bother using it. The constant hassle of "Do they or don't they accept this?" (usually the latter) makes me think I shouldn't bother.

Absolutely no idea, going to have a proper look through the documentation when I get home tonight. Or not actually, since I'm not going to use the card. Tempting as the 5% cashback is.
