I know it easy to say but try and think positive.I failed my test 3 times and it was nerves each time i was perfectly capable of passing but each time i got in the car my nerves got the better of me .
On my fourth my instructor said remember the examiner is human the same as you drive as you would as if i was sitting in the passenger seat.
Try and pay no attention to the pen and piece of paper in their hand they are not there to try and catch you out they are there to assess your driving so focus them out if you can just listen to what they ask you to do.
I did this and passed and that was nearly 19yrs ago if you go with the mind set i am going to do my best i can do this you stand a good chance :)

    Good luck.

I am a similar age to you and passed a few months ago. My biggest piece of advice is that if you know you have messed something up (I mucked up the reverse parking by going in at the wrong angle, and ended up going out and doing it again!!) don't let yourself dwell on it, or you will be more nervous and more likely to mess up again and it all just stacks up. Rather just force yourself to forget what you have done wrong so far, and focus on doing right. Even with a silly muck up like I had, you can still pass with a few minors if you concentrate and drive well the rest of the time.

    Good luck!
    Trust me - I'm NOT a doctor!

    Good Luck
I passed 2nd time, failed on reverse parking the 1st time.
Try not to breathe too fast! At one point when reversing round the corner it sounded like I was going to collapse lol
If you think you have made a mistake, try and correct it and continue.

And as my instructor said "Even if you think you have failed keep going to the end" basically she didn't want to walk back to the car!!! lol because if you feel you can't go on the instructor will terminate the test there and then.

    Hope it goes well

Hope you got on ok today :)
Every time life knocks me down, I just stay on the ground for a bit and look up at the sky for a while. Eventually I get up and have a cup of tea.

Just to let you all know that i passed!!!

Two minor faults - one on a really big roundabout where the lane i was in merged into two and i got into the wrong one - but easily corrected. Te other one when i had to turn right off a dual carriageway and didn't indicate to change lanes. Luckily there was no-one in the other lane so just a minor.

Thanks all for your tips! Luckily the examiner was really nice so i think that helped a lot.
