I need Toblerone recipes!

My son came back from a school trip to Austria and bought us a 4.5 Kg bar of Toblerone:eek: !!

Luckily we do all like it but we are getting sick of just eating huge chunks - does anyone have any recipes which we can use some (lots!) of it up in?
Thanks :)

Melt some (in a bowl over a pan of hot water) and pour over ice cream or apple pie. Make some biscuits and spoon some melted Tob over, leave until set. Make a black forest gateau or trifle and used grated Tob to decorate.

(Can you tell I've got diabetes !!!!!)

It would be a lovely topping for Twink's hobnobs.

Rather than melt it, there's less washing up and less waste if you grate on top as soon as they come out of the oven.

Damn, I've got to go and make some now.
Oh dear, here we go again.

    Hi Dandy

I imagine you could use it just like you would normal chocolate, although I am salivating at the thought of as big chunk of toblerone (and thinking about Billy connoly doing a "bit" on toblerone)

    Suggestions for toblerone

Leftover chocolates should also offer plenty of suggestions for you :)

or some sort of variation of fridge cake?

Ill add your thread to the first link later on when you get more ideas :)

    Thanks

Ooh ooh, toblerone ganache tarts. Dead easy.

Make individual cases from sweet shortcrust pastry (or even bought puff pastry but I'd much rather have sweet pastry) and bake them blind. To make the ganache, use equal parts of double cream and toblerone. Chop the toblerone into bits, then heat the cream in a saucepan and bring to the boil. As soon as it comes to the boil, take it off the heat and pour it over the chocolate. Leave it for a few minutes and then whisk till it's nice and smooth, and use the ganache to fill the cases and leave to set. You could also make one big tart and cut it into slices when it's set.

Maybe I am branching out here, but could you do some sort of toblerone cheesecake?
