Your number is always given to 800 numbers you call from your home phone. That's regardless of whether or not you have caller ID blocking, manually try blocking the caller ID or whatever. It ALWAYS goes to the caller, because they're paying for the call and they have the legal right to know the source of the call they're paying for. So if you call an 800 number, you can figure you've divulged your number to the company you've just called. I'd suggest you call from a cell phone or a pay phone, or call their regular (toll) number if you don't want them to sell your phone number to telemarketers.
