nodwah, I know what you mean, mine made me feel all sunny and tropical! I want to get more now to replace the red and green I lost, miss them, they were only about 3 foot tall. May put the next ones in pots for overwintering!

  • My french lavender i thought was dead but thats fighting back now but will need dead bits trimmed off so will not have it`s lovely shape.I think my garden got away lighly really.I too hunt out for the bargain plants at garden centres that have finished flowering, nothing a prune and feed wont sort out i`ve had some beautiful plants from that cheap source and highly recommend it.

I lost two hebes and the French lavender has taken a beating. My English laveneder looks wonderful, very healthy.I thought I had lost my Agapanthus but it has grown and I now have 3 plants from it.I left everything outside with no covering.I have recently bought a greenhouse so should be able to save some plants over this coming winter.Even though I lost some plants I thought the snow was really wonderful.BTW I am in South Yorks

I lost all my lovely Arum lilly bulbs - when I ferreted around in the soil to see why they hadn't regrown I just found a large area of white mush.
I've also lost most of my lovely big purple pom pom aliums and a purple clematis.

I lost loads of hebes, very sad as they where planted when my dog died. On the plus side I think somehow I might have some seedlings from them grow. No idea how, but I too some cuttings of another plant and some very hebe looking leaves are growing along side the cutting.

Lost my hebes too and my Californian lilac isn't looking very healthy. I might be able to nurse my lavatera back to health.
