    I refund and cancel the sale, buyer has to agree though so need to be nice to them lol

    You can't cancel the sale either.

    Ideally you want the buyer to be happy, so you refund them in a timely manner then apply to ebay to refund your FVFs. Under the old system *that has possibly changed now) the buyer had to agree to a mutual for the seller to reclaim their fees. if you've forced a buyer through a dispute or delayed a refund the buyer is unlikely to be helpful.

    As soon as the refund is made the paypal fees are of course wiped out as long as the refund is within 60 days.

    Take the loss as you are technically refunded your FVF from the royal mail when they refund you anyway so why should you get it back twice?
