Hi, i bought an item of clothing from ebay 2-3 weeks ago, i never received it, contacted buyer and they have said they sent it, and that it is out of there hands? but they dont have proof of sending it, as they send a few items that day and everyone else has received theres.
I have asked for a refund which i am guessing the seller will refuse, on the basis of them saying its out of there hands? i have opened a dispute with ebay today, but what happens now?
Am i going to loose out on my money?
Thanks

You should have really waited for the sellers reply before opening a dispute thats only polite. The seller will have to prove delivery if they cant (which they cant) you will get a full refund0

I guess i jumped the gun a little, how long will it all take?
I will have to see what the seller says when she messages me back.Is a Bipolar bear

Same here but the other way. I have sent an item that buyer says has not received. Fortunately I do have the postage receipt so I have asked her to complete an INR (Item not received). That was about 10 days ago and she still hasn't done anything. I have looked at her feedback and she has not received 2 of the 4 items purchased across ebay in the last year. I have received over a hundred items and only failed to receive one.
I never throw away my receipts until feedback has been received - I don't have a point just relaying my experiences. If she has no receipt then it's her fault. Proof of postage is free.
Good luck0 -

Be very careful pushing your buyers to go to dispute. The new changes in June means that those disputes affect your seller metrics, so could put you in the suspension zone quite quickly especially if you have any issues at all with your stars.I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the eBay, Auctions, Car Boot & Jumble Sales, Boost Your Income, Praise, Vents & Warnings, Overseas Holidays & Travel Planning , UK Holidays, Days Out & Entertainments boards. If I ever have any problems with an item and the seller forces me to go via a dispute thats a Neg from me. It shouldn't have to go that far. You should refund and then claim off RM. As soolin said if you do that soon that will have even more of an effect on youSame here but the other way. I have sent an item that buyer says has not received. How else do they get their final value fees back?0

so she gets money back and may have received parcel too.
Will I be able to claim postage and price of item. I have now moved to recorded delivery which also seems to have failings. Lose lose situation then.
I could refund and still get neg feedback.0 -

A dispute won't get the selller their FVFs back though?
If you want buyer to do a mutual forcing them to a dispute is not going to help much.I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the eBay, Auctions, Car Boot & Jumble Sales, Boost Your Income, Praise, Vents & Warnings, Overseas Holidays & Travel Planning , UK Holidays, Days Out & Entertainments boards. So the answer is to do what? Cancel the sale?0
