What you have described is not Freesat, but Freesat from Sky. Similar channel line up, but an entirely different platform. Freesat does not require a viewing card, and gives you HD without subscription.No free lunch, and no free laptop

An update - many thanks for all your help. Humax Foxsat HDR on order and i have found a local guy to put up the dish and fix it up once it arrives. We will be happy enough with the free channels and delighted to ignore Sky. Just have to make sure the order is cancelled and we get our £30 up front back now!Downshifted
