The £10 discount is a loyalty reward for you staying with o2, not as an incentive to use to cancel your contract.

They are correct, you would pay the full £25 line rental x however many months you have left and VAT discount.

What teamcullen says is right and also if you renew your contract for another 18 months, then it will revert to £25.

This is what I would do. I've always wondered why someone would want to cancel their contract during the minimum term. I don't see the real benefit of it. All they would end up doing is paying the lump sum upfront for nothing in return. Not very money saving if you ask me. I would personally keep it going and try to reduce the tariff each month if possible without affecting the loyalty discount, and utilise as much of the inclusive mins/text/data, whether it'll be by you or another member of the family. It only makes sense to use something you're paying for.

    Good luck.
