Iphone dilemma

Good morning all. I would very much value some advice on an iphone. I am looking at Tesco's £35 a month deal but can't decide on the 16gb or the 32gb (which is only £75 more for an extra 16gb!) I don't imagine ever getting near that 32gb capacity but in terms of upgrading, possible reselling and value for money etc what would you suggest? Your thoughts please.
ps does anyone know what rules apply for ending a contract 4/5 months early on virgin mobile?

Can you hang on another couple of months. It seems that yet another iPhone is due out, and the likelihood is that the current ones may drop in price.0 -
But would the new iphone affect tesco's prices?0

Most likely no, as Apple set the tariffs. However there has been lots of speculation that they will phase out the 3G and re-price the 3GS to be cheaper.
Also there's no point paying full whack for a phone that will be potentially out of date in 2 months, it might stay the same price, or it might get cheaper, 2 months.. worth the wait in my opinion!
:exclamatiTo the internet.. I need to complain about something!0 -

The 3G will probably be recalled and withdrawn the 4g take the 3GS's premium price tag and the 3gs be the new base model.
Actual prices will probably be the same more or less as now.0 -

Search on eBay for current resale prices - click advanced search and tick completed listings. Agree with the others, it is madness to buy yourself out of the Virgin contract just to get a handset that is about to be superceded and probably drop in price by up to £100.
Have you read the iPhone article on the main MSE site and the cheapest iPhone thread on this board?Declutterbug-in-progress.⭐️⭐️⭐️ ⭐️⭐️0 -
Thank you for your advice so far. Is there a date for the new handset being available? My problem is being such a big kid and having a mixture of tesco vouchers and the cash to spend on it now!
So if I can't wait should I go for the 16gbs or 32gbs?0 -
Personally, I would go for the 32 gb.
I got the 8gb 3G nearly two years ago, because I had no clue how brilliant all of the apps are and I thought that my music would take up most of the memory. I really wish I'd got the 16gb though as I now have to rotate my apps which is a bit annoying.0 -
Thank you Minxy_Bella. The 3Gs 32gb it will be! ; )0
