Bank Holiday Monday - What small DFW things have you done today???!

When we start out on the DFW trail we do loads of "big stuff" that makes quite a difference to our situation. These include having our lightbulb moment, cutting up the credit cards and cancelling Sky and the gym.
But once we have done the bigger stuff, we often feel that we are not making the same amount of progress, when in fact the small steps are helping us form good financial habits and helping us get closer everyday to staying in control and becoming debt free, or staying debt free
Examples could be charging your phone up at work instead of at home to save your electricity, hanging washing out instead of using the tumble dryer or leaving your purse/wallet at home to avoid the risk of spending.
So be proud of those small steps, they really are important
Hi everyone
I've been a good DFW this weekend. Has been hard to post because I'm visiting family but I have been catching up reading about all your lovely bank holidays and good DFW efforts! Yay us!!
:D
I have/will:
- Update spending diary and smile that my bank holiday trip has come in at under £35:A
- Use winnings from the Grand National to get petrol for the hire car:A
- Update wedding budget and re-jig it a wee bit - asked a family member to do something for us so we don't need a [STRIKE]rip-off merchant[/STRIKE] 'professional'
- Pay off a wee bit more of my cc:T
- Put some coins in the jar
- Meal plan for the rest of the week and include lunches so I am prepared!!!
- Check for surveys but think I might have missed the deadline
- Smile because Quidco have paid me some free cash!
Will report back later when I think of a few more and to catch up with everyone else. xx

Morning ladies!
Up early again - sooooo much to do today and don't quite know where to start!
Got a call from a Head of Dept yesterday just as I was about to go to the christening asking me for interview on Weds (I have another interview on Thurs too). It's all getting a bit stressful lately (and I'm not the stress type really, I one of those that just gets on with it usually). When we came home last night I just ended up in a flood of tears with OH looking at me blankly and quite bewildered! Bless him - men don't know how to do upset when you're usually the strong one do they? I think the wine helped bring on the mini melt down but its been brewing for a while I think - anyway better out than in and now I just have to get on with it. So there!
Had a cr*p nights sleep but have got up determined to get something done today.
I have to ...- Write 3500 words for final assignment second half (first half all done and quite happy with it but this is wrapping up all of my "research" whilst in school) - won't get it all done but have to do at least half
- Mark a load of books
- Mark a mini project I set the kids (seemed like a good idea at the time!)
- Start interview lessons - arrggghhh!
- walk dog x3 for free exercise and fresh air
- all food from stores
- checked banks
- try to have a NSD
- one load of washing
- put dry washing away
- phone mum for a moan and moral support using free landline
- be nice to OH to prove I'm not having a nervous breakdown just a funny five minutes
- have a relaxing bath using up toiletries this evening (quick shower this morning)
Have a good bank holiday.0 -

Been sat here a while just lurking but now it's time to write my list and get motivated! In rachelmk's style I'm going have to/DFW. PS Rach don't worry about the melt down, I think they're good for you to help clear out and start from scratch if that makes sense!

- Try and work out what this rash is all over my face/neck
