I have just been to the Flylady site for the first time and it does look quite good.

The one question I have is regarding the 27 item boogie thing or whatever you call it

When you collect 27 items to throw away is this per room or throughout the entire house? Also, are you supposed to do this just once a day?

I did it yesterday but only in the bathroom, never knew how many nearly empty or old toiletries I had stuck away in the cupboard in there.:o

I also did the 27 items to give away so I must make sure I go to a charity shop later or I won't have room to put my shopping in the boot.

    :)

Hi again everyone. I am joining up with the thread next week which is probably a good thing as a) the house needs it and b) I am not very well today but still just off to work in a few minutes :(. I will try and catch up with everyone later and as the week goes on. Reading the first entry I have noticed something which is a major hotspot for me - letters. I'd be grateful for any suggestions as to how to deal with these - I always seem to have a pile of letters somewhere which need some sort of action so cannot be filed away but look very untidy left out. - I have no cupboards or drawers downstairs other than in the kitchen and have got my cupboards there very organised so don't really want to just throw letters in there (and potentially forget about them :o)

I am grateful for any advice. Hope everyone has a good Tuesday. :D

told you that 2cm means nothing.. esp. in subsequent pregnancies.. I only look like an idiot :p

DDFW .. letters hat need action I sort immediately.. then I don't have to remember about them (because I am a goldfish) and also I can then bin them.. problem solved! failing that.. get an IN tray and throw away envelopes and just keep the important bits and deal with them 2 or 3 each day.

    Laundry out, 2 loads folded
    ...

I'll just find and update my list..

OH currently emptying our room... into DD2's room... she is away until Friday and so long as we can get our room sanded before them it will be fine.. though I am thinking carpet fitting on Friday!! Could I possibly manage it do we think?

    Hole filling today..
    Sanding tomorrow
    Painting/undercoat Thursday and
    carpet Friday..

Nah.. maybe not.. DD2 might have to doss in with the small girls for a few days while I get my room sorted..

And I know how you like to be right! :D So yes, you were right.

Just had a letter saying my driving licence photocard needs renewing. Good think I had those passport photos taken. Only problem is... where's my driving licence :o
