I would IF the room was smaller but at 13ft x 15ft the carpet will simply be too heavy for me to move.. It is really thick carpet as well.. with underlay and gripper.. it was about £50 to have it fitted including gripper and underlay!

Strip of wallpaper number 1 is up... and looks hideous next to the vile blue it is covering.. the remaining 4 strips shouldn't take half as long as we won't have to hang it 4 times to get it right!

:hello:Hi everyone! We've had a lovely day! The whole family (except for my niece who is doing her D of E Silver Expedition in the New Forest) met up for a meal at the same place that my brother's wedding was at - it's owned by a Latvian group, lovely setting, very friendly people, and delicious food. DD has been very spoiled, but hey, you're only 18 once!

Dad was celebrating his 82nd (yesterday) - as well as his proper presents, I made him a photo album of all the pictures that I had of Mum, especially ones with him as well, and he was really pleased with it. I wasn't entirely sure if he'd be upset, but he looked through it with me and my sister, and was really touched.

DD has now gone out clubbing with her best friend, and boyfriend, and I'm flaked out watching BGT.

Love and hugs all round. - toots , thank you for the birthday wishes for DD and Dad!

Hello! I went for a natter with a work colleague after work yesterday so didn't get online last night. Just catching up now ......

Triker - so sorry I missed your birthday - so glad you had a good one!

macpep - well done for seeing the doctor; the tablets will help but it will take a few weeks to notice the difference. Hugs x

jinky - I was told to take my tablets at night too and that works better for me. Hope you get yours sorted soon - it's not good to just suddenly stop them ......

    juliejim - congrats!

OJK - nice of you to pop in!

    Diva - hope you're ok x

GnB - hugs for LO x

Hugs and prayers to you all, especially Toots and L-L :A

Well - decluttered one 65 mile train journey for a Day School for science.

It did not bode well when the morning tutor tried to explain to the group some algebra, but when he got it completely wrong, apologised and admitted that he is dyslexic and has no idea whatsoever what to do. But thanks to *someone* :A, the people struggling in the group were OK once it was explained/demonstrated properly. Not sure how that happened, but it just makes sense to me..

Oh, and the acoustics coursework from the other unit I'm doing, which is largely physics based, is due in at the same time.

Flying? More like the occasional half hearted flap interspersed with copious volumes of coffee and lots of convenience meals.

    Back to the science books!

What kind of course are you doing? Sounds right up my street:D My flying is very similar to yours right now! House is a pit:rotfl: Struggling with my revision for monday exam, head feels all woolly:mad:

creeps in to say no flying in the house today, however plenty of sweeping up and tidying up outside - does that count?

Bought some plants from the church sale which were bargainous - and go towards the roof. It's a lovely church and is well used. It would be a shame if it went the way of so many.

I've planted up the chrysanthamums, michealmas daisys and geranium and potted up a summer bedding pot. Planted some more seeds and moved all the herbs to a sunnier spot.

Have quite a lot to do tomorrow and I've written a list of what I want to do, here we go

    Tomorrow's plan
    Finish off all cleaning
    Ironing
    Move holly bush
Dig up another old shrub stump
Empty old containers and tidy up
    Clear drain out

    That's about enough I think!

Open University S104 Exploring Science - tons of different subjects all one after the other - Bit of environmental science, Plate tectonics, physics, chemistry, biochemistry, biology, geology, quantum mechanics, astrophysics & maths required to deal with these subjects, and TA212 Technology of Music - basically the physics of sound rather than music appreciation.

Once the science is finished in mid June, will just have TA212 and a week long science residential in August, then finish music in October. No idea what to do next though, as I've done enough points to count as having completed 2 years of study by then. Definitely happier with science than arts though. So might try and stretch it out a bit rather than dash to graduate.

With the amount of other stuff I'm having to remember/learn at the moment, Jinks, I'm counting on it being easy with NO studying!

There are only a few hours in each day, after all!
