Help- Orange Voice mail

I have an unlocked mobile fone that I have been using my orange sim on (previously locked to O2).Whenever there is a voicemail message left it shows up the icon but whenever I try to retrieve it I can't get the message. Any ideas how to do this??? Any help appreciated

In what way can't you get the message?

You could try
Press and hold '1'
dial '123'

These both go to Orange VM

I have just tried to connect to it in the way that you have suggested but it came up as calling voicemail and then made a dur dur noise and then cuts off.

Do I need to set up the fone to another voicemail number could it still be set to O2?????

The number to call Orange voicemail from any phone is 07973 100123. Try ringing the whole number, you should then be able to tell if the phone is just programmed wrong or if there's summat up with Orange.
