Parking Fine...Time wrong

This morning i was issued with a parking fine,we returned to the car at 10.41am to find the Parking Fine slapped on the windscreen,we were parked in a Disabled bay,but the Disabled Badge had slipped on the car floor.
We opened the ticket to find that it was timed at 11.18..time of opening 10.41..surely if the wardens took more time just to look through the window the could have seen the badge had slipped down,i know it`s our fault...But have we got a good case for appeal that the time is wrong? surely it`s been issued "fraudulently".Rang the company head office straight away to explain.."just send a letter of appeal in" his words.
Have they issued this ticket illegally with the time being wrong??

you should be ok ,you just send photo-copies of the ticket and your disabled badge to the relevant company and they should void it,i had this with my father-in-law took him out for a spin in my new car ,parked up to take him for lunch and he put his disabled pass upside down in the window got back to find a parking ticket issued because it was not displayed properly, they cancelled it after i sent head office a copy of disabled badge.

My husband bought a pay and display ticket and stuck it to the window. It was on a hot day and the glue melted. The ticket fell off and landed not showing the details. He got a ticket on return.

He photocopied the details and sent it in. They let him off albeit in a patronising way. Get glue that works on a hot day the skinflints.

I once got off a ticket because they put 11:30 rather than 23:30. I waited for the reminder and then wrote and said my car was not there at 11:30AM and to please provide the evidence that it was.

They wrote back apologising and cancelled it. This was several years ago though, and before they started taking photos.

I would suggest you frame it and stick it on eBay as this is extremely rare!

We use to do that, until a windy day when it blew off before the door was closed and a parking fine was had. ( The ticket blew off the dashboard and on to the floor of the car, hence not displayed correctly) So we are now careful to check the ticket is still on the dashboard after the car is secured and before we walk off.

I do that as well and don't have to worry about trying to get the glue off the window either when it builds up...
