Honda crv fault

I bought a honda crv new in 2003 it has been trouble free until about a month ago when the engine management light came on and the engine ticks over quite lumpy when slowing down I have to dip the clutch or change to a lower gear for fear of stalling, after a few miles when I park up go back to the car sometimes the light…
