I used Firefox for some years, quite happy with it - UNTIL - I tried Opera !

Very good browser, seems faster than FF, really like the Speed Dial facility.

Recently tried Opera's e-mail client too - am now using that in place of Thunderbird. It is great having both browser and e-mail on the same tab.

I too have recently switched from Firefox to Opera as it is faster, but still have FF as my 'spare' browser as a few websites won't work in Opera.

Try rechecking some of those sites. When I first switched to Opera my bank didn't work with it - it now does.
It may be that more people are making their sites compatible with different browsers since the ruling against IE's "monopoly".

Chrome is good if you don't want any addons and extra features. Also Chrome has the speed dial feature and Firefox has it as a seperate addon. Firefox is good if you want many addons and features.

I use Firefox and Chrome when I fancy a change.

Thanks for the correction. Even though they have built extension functionality it is still very new and the library doesn't compare to the masses available for FF. If looking for something very specific you're unlikely to find it unless it's very trivial.

Chrome itself also lacks many nice to have features which are available in the other main browsers. It is very quick though. I use FF as my main browser and Chrome as a second.
