Hi there! hope someone can help me....i have a SE xperia X10 and i incorrectly entered the unlocking sequence and now am locked out.
It is asking me for my google mail account and password, i am entering them correctly but it keeps saying they are incorrect.
The only problem is thats all it will let me do, apart from switch it off....
Any advice please on how to reset the phone??

I believe to unlock using your google mail password you have to have registered that phone to your account. http://www.google.com/support/forum/p/android/thread?tid=1911f89c397c351e&hl=enAlthough no trees were harmed during the creation of this post, a large number of electrons were greatly inconvenienced.
There are two ways of constructing a software design: One way is to make it so simple that there are obviously no deficiencies, and the other way is to make it so complicated that there are no obvious deficiencies0 -
Thanks for the link. i have tried to do the powerdown as suggested but it keeps going back to the Gmail login in and password.
If anyone has any suggestions while i scour the net feel free!! LOL0 -
thanks for the advice guys!! i have done it now, i downloaded and installed the update service from SE and followed the on screen instructions, have lost all my stuff but hey.....it was only 2 days old, and at least i can use my phone:beer:
Quick word of advice to any xperia owners...dont put the security lock on and then try to remember your pattern when youve had a few drinks!!:rotfl:0 -
There is actually a work around for it apparently, if you get a call on the phone, you can hit the home button and bypass the lock pattern screen, allowing you to go into the settings and disable it.0
