Options
I cooked a chicken yesturday so my partner could use it to make sandwiches for work today and tomorrow! Just gone downstairs (he leaves at 6.15am) and all that is left is the carcus - not 1 scrap of meat left

I'm not going shopping again until wednesday so he'll have to have egg sandwiches tomorrow!

no need for this post, just shocked he's taken the whole chicken!:o

Oops! That's why we don't do cooked chicken for sandwiches in our house - I'd snarf the lot with salad cream or pickle before the day was out.
The ability of skinny old ladies to carry huge loads is phenomenal. An ant can carry one hundred times its own weight, but there is no known limit to the lifting power of the average tiny eighty-year-old Spanish peasant grandmother.

  • :( I did the same yesterday........no not eat the whole chicken but:

My son was home on leave (in the paratroopers) and I cooked a huge roast dinner. I cooked an extra large chicken as well as a piece of beef (priced down on Friday night to a quarter of the price :) ).

Thinking I was the only one to eat the chicken and we could use the remainder for sandwiches.........but my son and his friends decided to demolish it ALL off last night on a late night scooby snack :( .

The only thing in the cupboard now to eat in sarnies is honey or jam :( for the next three days. :(

Mine does the same, I think they have an extra 'cold chicken gene', see it eat it sort of thing. My sons have yet to display this trait, but I'm sure it won't be long...

When we still had teenagers we were reduced to putting desirable food that would disappear in seconds into opaque plastic boxes labelled lentil burgers or something else not so appealing to them. It worked quite well as they were too idle to actually open the lids to check.
