I WANNA - Shere Khan Sauce

Used to get them in Tescos but to be honest I stopped buying all the curry sauces because was so disappointed with them, and we tried a lot! Would have to agree with tonysat that the Pataks pastes are the best of the ready made stuff and you can add your own spices etc.0

I'd agree that Pataks are quite good, and that most sauces jarred are just not the same and taste nothing like a real Indian meal. Shere Khan sauces were/are an exception to that rule.
PS. I anyone wants to buy a domestic tandoori oven - I purchased one from https://www.clayovens.co.uk. Domestic oven approx size of a cooker costs about 900 quid with skewers, clay balls, etc. If you like your tandoori food (like me) worth its wait in gold - superb taste!
Now...back to finding these sauces!!!To Stooze or Not To Stooze - Theres only one option

URGENT UPDATE!!!!!!!
Just spotted Shere Khan sauces in my local Asda (Stafford)
Not many there and they were right on the bottom shelf so looks like they are selling them out, but might be worth a check if you like them that much and stocking up.
Hell, i'll even buy some and post if you are willing to pay postage costs!!!

My local 99p shop has been selling the Shere Khan Bhuna for um, oh you work it out
.
Whilst this isn't as good as 39p, Ive been stocking up as its a lovely sauce.
Dahn 'ere in the sarf, the Shere Khan range is fairly easily available in most branches of Sainsburys and Tescos.

They are also in Asda Minworth tonight, at a clearance price! Shamefully I went for the own brand though as it's more anglicised (hides in shame).0

Sounds like great stuff. I love Pataks Tikka Masala paste (Coriander and Lemon) makes a mean chicken curry base and prawn curry too. I also spread it on salmon and pan fry it but also add it to rice and bulgar wheat and veg. to make a nice biryani dish. You only need a dessert spoon full.Nubs loves to save!
"I can make it at home for free...with a small aubergine!"
Martin's website has focused me on where my outgoings are...I do a big shop once a week.
Mortgage overpayments are coming along nicely
Looking at switching energy provider - will save £88

BTW, the Chester Shere Khan has moved to the Cheshire Oaks Designer Outlet village.
If you can't find them then I would recommend the Lloyd Grossman curry sauces, beautiful!!!

Indian curries are come a long way in the last few years. Curries are one of the few items that can be preserved well and taste almost as good as a freshly made one.
There are a lot of good curry brands out there now. I currently like the Sainsbury's own Taste The Difference range as they offer something slightly different.
I don't think that Shere Khan sauces are so good that I'd go out of my way to search for them.

Fair enough. It's funny that Indian curries are known all over the world except in India!
