Anyone seen the Shere Khan curry sauces around lately? If you havent tried these already - they are by far the best curries you can get jarred. Most the restaurants are in Manchester / Liverpool area - and my favourite reastaurant in Chester closed down. I live in Swansea - so no chance for me to make it to the restaurants - so the sauces are my last hope.
Anyone know where you can get them from????? I just bought a Tandoori Oven for my house - and still have a jar of their Tikka sauce which was superb in the Tandoor - problem is its already 2 years past its sell by date......HELP!!!!!!!!!!!!

Lol, I think that's the problem! The idea may be good, but they don't seem to get used. The last time I saw these they were on the reduced to clear shelves - Tesco or Sainsbury's, I can't remember which.0 -
Having just googled it ....I want a Shere Khan sauce too! Everyone raves about them! Still cant see where to buy them though ...maybe Waitrose?I have had brain surgery - sorry if I am a little confused sometimes0

Where's the Grabbit?
Why not post this on the right board?British Ex-pat in British Columbia!0 -
Don't see them around much these days, shame as they were really nice.
BTW, the Chester Shere Khan has moved to the Cheshire Oaks Designer Outlet village.
If you can't find them then I would recommend the Lloyd Grossman curry sauces, beautiful!!!

Also I think Pataks Pastes (not the sauces) are quite authentic.0

It's pretty expensive when shipped, but if you're desperate you can buy Shere Khan sauces on ebay:

I haven't tried it yet but I bought a jar of Shere Khan Bhuna from a local discount store the other day for 39p.
Wasn't sure what it was going to be like so I only bought the one jar.0 -
Just rang the restaurant - need to ring back tomorrow and speak to the manager - sounds like they still do them though - but not stocked with usual high street supermarkets (tesco, Asda, etc any more).
They did mutter selfridges - but they dont have an online search facility!
If you havent tried these sauces and you like indian curries - these are a must!
The madras is actually hotter than many indian restaurants - not like the gravy jarred by most (sharwoods, etc).To Stooze or Not To Stooze - Theres only one option0 -
