Yes, I've heard that about castor oil too - last thing I want is for either of us to have the runs :o

I think with any of these things, you never really know if they worked, or if the baby was just ready to come on her own, although some of the methods are quite fun heehee! (The bath....I was talking about the nice warm bath for goodness sake.... :D)

I love pineapple though, so I'll remember to buy one at the supermarket next time I go.....if nothing else it's full of vitamins and stuff, and it tastes nice!

Castor oil can be a bit dodgy - baby gets a dose too, meconium in your waters, panicy professionals assume baby in distress (but really has a dose of the runs), intevention.....

I tried castor oil with my DD, but it didnt work and it was another week before she arrived.

There were none of the adverse effects you mentioned, but she didnt half come out with a rush. Midwife had to catch her :rotfl:

Hubby said the oil had made her slippery
Is it better to aim for the stars and hit a tree or aim for a tree and land in its branches

so snaggle are the twinges still as bad and now that the three b's didnt work what you trying next?

The twinges are still quite uncomfortable, just crampy pains and my stomach tightens quite a bit, but they're not regular any more, and they're not getting any worse, so I think they're just Braxton Hicks.

I'm going to try cooking a nice meal for tea next....the thought of another dose of my cooking might just scare her out of there lol!

Hey, how about phoning the labour ward to see if they have internet access? You could take a laptop and update your thread throughout the birth:D

I never thought of that Miss Scarlett.....I've got Web'n'Walk access on my mobile, but being a DFW I've never used it of course lol!

Shouldn't you be in the loft weller? :rotfl:

I've heard that too, but they don't sell it in any of our local supermarkets, and I daren't go into Leeds City Centre to look for it in Holland and Barrett in case I get lost again! (my joint pain still hasn't settled down from my 40 minute walk trying to find the train station the other day :o)

Yes, I can tell you can't wait....I feel terribly guilty keeping you all waiting like this hahaha!!

I'm having a break ;) I haven't actually been in the loft - just supervising from the down below. The last time I went in a loft was when i was heavily pregnant with Sam and I couldn't/ dare not come down so hubby had to phone the Fire Brigade to get me down, as you can imagine I was very embarassed especially since my maternity jeans were falling down around my bottom. Thats not a story I tell many people so keep it quiet , ssssssshhhhhhhhh :rotfl: Hubby thought we would get charged for calling them out but we never received a bill.

Really bad though as my dream fantasy is a coloured, scottish fireman fully equiped with hose :o

Lol at your fireman fantasy! I wont go in the loft either, there's waaaay too many spiders webs up there. Hubby swears there's actually very few spiders, but I can see the webs and that's enough for me.

Your secret's safe with me, don't worry ;)

*SHOUTS* HEY, ANYONE WANT TO HEAR A FUNNY STORY ABOUT WELLER :rotfl: :rotfl:
