You need to check with the individual insurance company, some class it as Europe, some dont :)

    Which ones don't?

If any travel agent tells you you need worldwide insurance (not just European cover) they are incompetent!

Yes all the major players class it as Europe - But im not aware of every policy on the market, and as OP didnt give an indication of which company he was with - It would be best to check directly?

Its a great question . I wanted insurance for my trip to Lara Beach .
Now when I was at school . Asia started at the Bosporus , i.e. Turkey is in Asia .
Turkey is not in the Euro Zone , easy :D:D

But Going to the post office , I asked my stupid question , where is Turkey ??

Turkey as far as the P.O. insurance policy says , Europe :rotfl:
Also when in Side ( antalya , Med Coast , the euro was widely used )
A Turkish guide told us that officialy only the top left corner of Turkey around Istanbul is classed as being in Europe!

Sorry but does not care what a Turkish guide thinks .... its down to the Insurance provider
    Sorry if a daft question
Not a daft question , just a mixed up world!

    Ps have a great holiday

I travel regularly to Turkey - which, in my experience of various insurance companies - has always been in Europe for travel insurance purposes

Read your posting twice , will read it a third time but still get the impression that you and your turkish guide
quote ... as I'm sure one I looked at didn't cover Turkey as Europe

But the post office does !

Don't argue with me . speak to the post office. .

Don't know for travel insurance purposes, but your Turkish guide was quite correct. The Bosphorus is the dividing line between Asia & Europe. (Don't get me started on how the EU can even for a minute consider giving entry to Turkey - other than the fact it's strategically useful for accessing Syria, Iran, Iraq, Afghanistan, of course. But that still doesn't make it in Europe.)

Yes Turkey is consider as in Europe but some insurance companies do not consider Turkiesh cities outside the European part as Europien (I mean cities that geografically in Asia), so it is depends where are you going. Check this out with you insurace company.
